I found that the primary profile of a profile can be changed many times by different managers and they do as managers to give primary, it could suppress the function and leave as primary manager only to the person you have more profiles related and that created as lead manager.
They do this to be com or primary manager for personal ego

Hello Jaime - We have realized that we have some problems and shortcomings with the way our profile management works, and we are reworking that process so that it will work better for everyone. We'll be releasing some updates to this soon.

I spent hours adding profiles and information, then in 2014, on October 11th, all the profiles I had added, Simon Brumby became the primary manager. I was not notified, management was not requested, a great portion of these profiles are my direct ancestors, not his. While saying this I dit a very broad tree, so many of the profiles i added are distant relatives of mine. however this tree was a lot of work from me, and I did not appreciate the primary manager being 'given' to some one else.
Please Let me know why this happened, and please reverse this action. I feel very upset.

Ruth, Geni is a collaborative world tree. It is very likely that Simon Brumby also added these profiles to Geni in his tree. When Geni finds a match between trees (your tree overlaps with his) they get merged into a single branch within the larger world tree. When two profiles are merged, Geni uses several factors to determine which one becomes "primary", such as number of managers, quality (which has more data or family), which was added first, etc. Simon's profile won that determination, so your profile actually got merged into his. Does it matter? Not really. It's more cosmetic than anything as you both have the same permissions to the profile, get alerted, etc. So, please don't feel upset for not being listed first. That's the way Geni works and your tree just grew.
Hi Jeff, my issue is like Ruth's, but my issue goes further. I understand the merge and "primary" switch, however, in my case, my research included extended family that branched out to their connections.
For instance, and the reason why I'm now doing this, I did my connections, then went the other way and did my husband's on my tree. But, apparently my husband's 2nd cousin/once removed did her line, which then pushed what little I had of my husband info (which was great in the first place-tree got bigger), to merge with her giant research, making "my" tree... that consist of "my" family line, become part of her research. Thus making her primary of tree and also allowing her to "delete" what she finds unusable info.
Now I have to go through pages of managed profiles to undelete my direct family tree!
With that said, when I undelete, will it reinstate my tree... which I understand that is now merged with the higher quantity researched tree even tho that higher quantity tree was merged with a small branch on my tree... stay on my tree, but can be deleted again?
Should I delete my husband's info, so that the link drops? Also, the reason I collected info on my husband's side was initially due on his mother's request. And I worked hard on that research. Is there a way to just severe the branch and copy to a new tree of it's own?.
please help, in fairness, this is not fair research, if the part a person's research gets swallowed by a bigger research and renowned by the other person, because they linked by a few relatives, In my case this cousin is from my husband's 3rd great grandfather, which was the only person that connected to her tree.
Again it's a great expansion for my husband's line, not arguing that. It's the part that she went on to delete my side of the tree. 😔 And messed up my research.

Hi Jeff, surely there is a different between primary profile manager and non-primary profile manager else why bother to differentiate the two?
