I mark all of my profiles as private, but I recently noticed that the photos I've added are being indexed by Google <http://www.google.com/search?q=linh+carpenter+site:geni.com&tbm=isch>. Can you please modify your robots.txt to prevent this form happening? I feel like I may need to delete all my photos from Geni in the meantime. It looks like that should remove them from Google <http://help.geni.com/entries/20938132-Set-profile-pic-to-private-deleted-it-but-its-still-accessible>.

Jeff, Geni Curator Linh, it looks like some of these are claimed profiles (Geni members) and thus have control over the privacy of their own picture. They can change this setting in their privacy options (http://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy) by setting the Profile Photo to "Private". Also, they could prevent Google from indexing their page via the permissions setting (http://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions) of "Let the public search for me (profile privacy settings apply)".
Public profiles will also show the picture. As for the other private profiles, they shouldn't show. I'll go ahead and submit the pages for reindex so that the pictures are removed from Google cache as I no longer see some of them.
