Backspace key bug in profile update

I have tried several times to update my profile data. Each time I use the backspace key to correct a typo in a field, the program erases everything I've entered and I have to start over. It also takes me back to the last tab I viewed, like a browser "back" button.. I am about to delete my account due to the frustration this causes!

 

Why doesn't the backspace key function as  expected, deleting only the last character typed and not causing a page back? I'd suggest you automatically save the entries in a temporary space, then later update the profile.  Changing a tab within the profile update page also loses the entered info unless you click on the "save and continue" button, which is way down at the page bottom and not obvious.

  The geni website and service needs an easy and obvious was to contact the support team. As it is, it is way overpriced for the "pro" version.  When I tried to submit a ticket about a problem, I was taken to buy the pro free 14-day trial..... Am not about to do so with the problem reported above!

  Usually the field will highlight on the first click, which grabs the entire contents.  A backspace at this point would erase the contents.  A second click in the field usually sets it to a particular position in the text, where the backspace would delete each character.  The web browser can pay a big part in this - Firefox can sometimes give me issues where Google Chrome works fine.

  Also, many fields are "saved" and can be reverted.  If  you go to the Revisions tab on a profile, you can view and undo recent changes on names, dates, and locations.
