i'd like to try your service, but I THINK I've learned everything I need to know. I wanted to know if I could just add a GEDCOM but had to pay you to get an answer to, basically, "can I use your service" (I am Not going to retype the 2000+ entries in my database). Your demanding my credit card information BEFORE answering a simple and basic question tells me exactally what sort of extortionist crooks you people are.  Please remove my name and other information from your database, and do try to refrain from selling or giving that information to others.

  The free support forums you posted in easily has the answer to your question.  There is no need to put in a professional support ticket (and pay $$) to answer what is in the FAQ.

  In short, they're working on turning back on - it's a high priority.  However, Geni probably has 1700 of your 2000 already and we do not want to duplicate data.  If you start entering your tree, it likely won't be long before you find duplicates and can merge into the existing World Tree, which is the intent and goal of Geni.
