I have previously submitted the same information that i deleted images of myself, my sisters and near and dear ones due to security concerns of them being available freely in google image search.

But even after deleting the images from geni, the images are still there on geni website.

Here is a example

That is my first cousins profile and image has been deleted but by using google search i can still see her image on your website and infact when i click Visit Image in google image search it takes me to geni folder where the image still exist. Here it is.

This is just one example i have given even my own image is still there in geni folder on your website even though i have removed my images from my profile.

Kindly delete the images removed by me and other users who might have done their job of removing image from their profile at geni but on geni webserver they still exist.

  Abby, untagging yourself in an image does not delete it from Geni - it just removes it from your profile, which is why you can still access it via a direct link.  I expect you'd actually have to go into the library, if it's your library, and delete the image from there.  Even so, that won't delete the cached image from Google.  It can take several weeks for Google to update their web cache for a page (Geni has no control over that process).  A request can be made directly to Google for an out of cycle refresh if you want to try, but they often deny my request when I ask regarding pictures. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals?hl=en  Do know that I don't see a photo of Safiya on her profile, even as a curator.  So once the Google updates their cache, it should be gone from the search results.  Each member of Geni can choose to turn off the ability to be index by Google, in case you wanted to make your info visible to only Geni members.  You do this in the permissions settings: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/permissions  And of course, each user can adjust the privacy of their photo in the privacy settings: https://www.geni.com/account_settings/profile_privacy  Profiles of living people that are not claimed by members are private and do not show such info.  So the visibility is fully within the control of the Geni member.
