In Italy women are not allowed to take the husband's surname in marriage. it does not happen, not currently or in the past.
Yet I still get drowned with this sites requests to add the husband's surname to the wife.
Can we stop this very annoying feature.
Is there a feature which can stop this?

I know this doesn't fix the issue, which is more of a human problem, but you can turn off the notification for requests by unchecking "sends me a request" in https://www.geni.com/account_settings/notifications/
You could also set how it is displayed in your tree in the account settings so that you don't have to look at profiles that do include maiden names. https://www.geni.com/account_settings/name_preferences
