Someone added incorrect parents to my great grandmother and I need to know how to fix that. When asked which are the proper parents, I indicate the ones who are but then it says I can't do that because then it would 'split the tree'. The tree needs to be spilt. These are not my family connections. Thanks!

Jeff, Geni Curator Ok, I believe I've corrected the problem. It appeared to be a bad merge on Mary, so I unmerged it.

Elizabeth Riley i was misinformed as to parentage of three people on my tree. the mothers are correct, father is different. Please help, as I need to split the tree to repair. Thank You.

Bjørn P. Brox Take a closer look in the Relationships tab under edit profile. You will notice that the parents is listed as pull.down menu for easy change, and that is an easy task since the mother already is correct. If the correct father is not yet entered you have to add that profile as a spouse of the mother first, even as a profile marked unknown id that is the fact.
