Jeff, Geni Curator The Zendesk software used by Geni for the help desk / bug report has some limitations in customization. Sorry if it was confusing.

i have been a member of Geni for many years.
Today I received a birthday notification of a family member. I wanted to send a birthday wish to that person but instead somehow I ended up started a new tree against my will.
How can I correct this problem ?

Jeff, Geni Curator Tri, log in with the correct email address. Geni accounts are based on email address. The one you provided in this post is the correct email. The new account you created is based on a yahoo email address. You'll want to logout of Geni and log back in with the other email address.
I can initiate a merge between the two accounts, so in the future either email will work.
