Bjørn P. Brox Where do you live?
From https://www.geni.com/dna-tests/terms_of_use
The DNA Services are not available to residents of the following locations ("Restricted Locations"): Israel, France, Poland or the State of Alaska. -
Suzanne LESAGE I uploaded DNA to my son's profile last summer and had a DNA tab, that has since disappeared. I still receive DNA matches notices, but when I click on it, it tells me I do not have access. There is no DNA tab on the profile, so I cannot delete it.
Live in Canada - Geni basic - language French

Jeff, Geni Curator Suzanne, Hello 8th cousin. :) That is odd - I have no problem with seeing the DNA tab on his profile.
As a side note, I'd suggest not using ALL CAPS on Geni for your last name. It is discouraged, particularly in the world tree. https://wiki.geni.com/index.php/Naming_Conventions#No_all_CAPS You have an option in your account settings to set your name display preferences to allow for that. https://www.geni.com/account_settings/name_preferences

Since customer service won't answer unless I pay... I don't know...
About the spelling, I was not about to change the way all 2500 entries were made in my tree just to please Geni when I first loaded my file. It has been the preferred way for years to distinguish given names and SURNAMES, because many are the same - SIMON, JACQUES, PIERRE, JEAN are common surnames in French. My Gedcom is in many other spots... If Geni wants to make the change, they could.

Jeff, Geni Curator Suzanne - Right, my ancestry is French as well. Caps for surnames is an old-school hold over from paper record keeping, where it was difficult to distinguish, but we have defined data fields now, so the practice is unnecessary though some people prefer to view it that way. The problem comes from when people don't want to view it like that, when entered like that it forces it upon everyone. I certainly understand dealing with many that have it set like that - not suggesting you change it all or by yourself. I was just pointing it out as information, since your own profile is set like that. My suggestion, change as you go... allow users to view as they prefer. :)

Suzanne LESAGE But that's a nice diversion. Does not help to explain why I can no longer access the DNA tab...

Jeff, Geni Curator Suzanne, I don't know how to fix that. I can only suggest maybe trying a different web browser. If that works, you could then try to clear cookies or something on your other browser.

If it was a browser problem, all tabs would be a problem, not just one. I just wonder if in order to block "France", they blocked French as a language instead. I don't expect you to solve the problem, but relaying the message would be nice.
Thank you

Jocelyne McDermott I did not have the DNA Tab. My Geni was in french. I have changed the language to English and there was the tab!
