I got an email that Rodney Lee Miller is following me. I have no idea who he is and I don't want to be followed by anyone without my permission. I should not have to block people from following me. They should ask my permission like facebook and then I can decided who I want to follow me. I would appreciate it if you would fix this feature, otherwise, I'm going to take my stuff down. This is totally annoying and an invasion of my privacy. Thank you.

Jeff, Geni Curator Following does not affect privacy in any way. Following a user or profile does not give you any additional access to profile information. A user who follows you does not get any additional access to your profile or other information.
If you follow a profile that is not in your Family group, you will only receive public updates about them. You will not be able to view their photos, family discussions, or other private information and updates.
Rodney likely saw that you manage ancestor profiles he has an interest in or perhaps you're contributing to a project he has interest in and wanted to follow your public work.

Linda Thompson Edlow Someone named Lori Lynn Wilke has merged my daughters profile. I don't know who this person is or why she is changing my family profiles. She even unfriended me with my daughter on Facebook. Please fix.

Geni Curators are specially selected based on their integrity and the quality of their work on Geni. Accepted Geni Curators sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the company to ensure they protect data confidentiality.
I'm not sure exactly what she was working on, but I can notify her of your concern. I can't speak to Facebook or why you would friend someone you say you don't know in order for them to then unfriend you.

Lori Lynn Wilke Linda Thompson Edlow has blocked me so I cannot see what/when/why anything was changed. As for my facebook, I am VERY private on there regarding who I allow access to it. My facebook has too much current personal information and pictures to allow open searches/access. That is probably what she is referring to. If she would like to unblock me, I would be happy to work with her on geni. It is extremely rare that I have blocked anyone on here and it is usually in reaction to threatening and or abusive treatment by them and I have not had that experience with her. I hope to hear from her so we may clean up the misunderstanding!
