Mix up with added relatives as guests

I recently added my 2nd Cousin JOHN BURT and my uncle JOHN MOUNT as guests to my account.  My cousin John has been added as guest, but appears as my uncle John Mount.  Any idea as to how this can be rectified?  I wondered why my cousin added someone who my uncle wouldn't have known.
