Is it possible to determine who modified a record when the only source information is "Geni"?

I am researching deceased South African Chana Blumenveld, whose deceased daughter Dorothy Zar (1930-??) was apparently adopted. It appears that the daughter was linked to the biological mother's profile by "Geni" on 29 Dec 2010, but that edit is so old that I can't see exactly what change was made and whether the "adopted" information came from Geni. If it did, is there any way to find out who the Geni administrator was or how they came across that information? 

This daughter's son did not realize his mother was adopted and is interested in learning more. But I don't see any way to track down where the "adopted" information came from originally.

  Hi Adam, the revision from 2010 is a little misleading. Revisions were first introduced in 2010 and the feature has since undergone some changes. 

  Looking at the revisions of the previous profile before the merge, we see that the person who first added the profile with the "adopted" information was the same person who currently manages Chana Blumenveld's profile. You may want to try sending a message to her to see where she came across the "adopted" information.

  Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, the manager of that profile passed away shortly after making that edit. I'll see if I can find any relatives.

  You can report deceased managers from their profile. Geni will attempt to find another user from the family group of that deceased user to add to private profiles managed by that user. That may give you an indication of who you could try to contact.
