When I attempt to change a profile:

I get an error page:
"An unexpected error has occurred."
Even if I make no change and just click "save" I get the same error.
Further, when I try to "confirm" a match, the check mark changes back after a second to unchecked.
What should I do?

This issue has been fixed.
I will check it out. Maybe I will have an answer or a comment.
That profile is part of an isolated tree and strangers have not the right to edit that profile.
I guess the problem is that the I in the question is a stranger and strangers have not rights to edit profiles in isolated trees without only one managers.
Why the error message "unexpected error has occured" I don't know. I can guess, but my guess is as good as any random guess. Maybe the error message should say a random error has occured. Or oops or something funny. Or come back later. Or please ask contact the manager if you want to make a change.
BTW that is the best advise I would give If you want to make a change. contact the manager of that profile and ask why the profile is locked for strangers. Or for you.
The buttomline you could not edit the profile, because you did not have the rights to do it. Ofcourse curators and Geni staff can edit that profile.

How do you that I do not have the rights to edit the profile? I have been able to make changes before.
If you look at her "Revisions" tab, you will see that I have been making chnages to the profile since September 2, 2017, the day after K. Wodyński (on hiatus) created the profile. Something happened on October 8 that stopped me from chnaging it any further.
In any case, I will contact K. Wodyński (on hiatus) to seeif he can determine what the problem is.
The profile on this community and on Geni.com is not connected. So in theory there could be the situation that there Thomas Michael Barold here is not the same as the T M Barold on Geni.com.
That you have a profile in that isolated tree is new information.
Maybe it is wise to contact a local Curator about this problem.
But is not problem that you are a stranger without rights. You have rights, so maybe the database was locked for every edit.
The bothline is that your guess is as good as my guess.
