When searching for family relations I often find relation via my wife but not via my own family. Even if I know that there is a relation. I have also experinced that I find a relation via my mothers anchestors via some "her husband" relations far in the and even if I know that some of my anchestors have a direct line to the person..
How to look for more than one relation? and I mean that a direct line up and down should be prioritized in favour of some one "married in to the family"

I have always been able to search via my fathers side now in searching, geni is defaulting to my mothers side. I am not sure if I have changed the settings accidentely or made some error some where, does anyone have any advise. Basically searching is now done via inlaw relationships rather than blood relationships? I have been searching via my fathers side for years and now all of a sudden it has changed.
