I created my family tree with photos and names. Suddenly some of the names and photos disappeared and in their place PRIVATE has appeared. This stopped such relations from getting edited and at some places the relationships got distorted.

The information is still here, but as they are marked private only the person that created it can see it and a very small group of other persons.

I think this a wanted feature of the Geni.com software. It protects the private information by distort it and place PRIVATE on the place of private information.
