I have found a bug where it is impossible to delete a relationship

I was browsing through my own family history and accidently linked someone higher up with someone much much further lower down in the family. Now I cannot deaatch them, or just out right delete them because that involves removing the established tree. Please suggest a way of fixing my mistake wihtout starting all over again.
