Hello Geni.com,

I would like to request that 2 profiles in my family tree be edited please, as the 2 members unfortunately recently just passed away (and should thus be recorded in the tree as "deceased").

 

Here are the 2 names & profiles:

 

1. Jacques Dupont (born on "August 08, 1956"):

Date of death => "January 26, 2020"

 

2. Christian Sikias (born on "January 24, 1943"):

Date of death => "June 04, 2021"

PS: Please note that some members in the tree are receiving "birthday wishes" for the above 2 members, and this is one of the reasons why we would like to have the corrections executed accordingly...

  Hi Marc, we're sorry to hear about your family's loss. We have unclaimed the accounts for Jacques Dupont and Christian Sikias so you may now edit their profiles to reflect their passing.

  For future reference, when a relative passes away, their accounts may be reported as 'Deceased' via the Actions button on their profile. Once the profile is reported, all birthday/anniversary reminders will be disabled. Our customer service team will resolve the report by unclaiming the account and updating the living status of the profile.   Dear Geni Support Team,

  Thank you for your prompt reply - I confirm both profiles were edited accordingly, and the correct "deceased dates" were also added.

  One more/last question here, my cousin "Chris Sikias":

  ... who is the son of my recently deceased uncle, mentioned above in my previous email (Christian Sikias), has a birth date which was mistakenly inputted as the following:

  "Birth: June 09, 69"

  It should have read instead:

  June 09, [19]69 (i.e. the 19xx is missing on the birth date).

  This has the platform (geni.com) think that Chris was born in the year 0069, and this generates a lot of inconsistencies inside our family tree unfortunately (as per the following screenshot) and we cannot seem to edit the "69" back into a "1969":

  

  REQUEST: Is that also something you could help us fix as well please, edit the 69 so that it is replaced with 1969?

  Hi Marc, it looks like your cousin hasn't logged in since 2010. We ran a task for inactive users on his profile. You should see "Edit Profile" on Chris's profile now. Can you please check if you are able to edit the year yourself?
