I am the manager of this person (my 4th cousin) and need to change her name display - BUT - there is NO EDIT FACILITY - WHY? -
Geni Support Team Hi Allen, you are unable to edit her profile because our cousin has claimed her account with her email address (note that since she has claimed her account, you are no longer a manager of her profile). This means that Wendy will need to log in to her account to update it. or if she would like relatives to make edits to her profile, she can go to her privacy settings and check the box "Let my family edit my profile."

Allan Manley I have spoken to Wendy and she has NEVER "claimed" her account. She has NEVER accessed her account and has not even signed in to this profile.
SOMETHING ELSE IS WRONG!!!! -
Geni Support Team Perhaps she misunderstood what you were asking. Our records show that Wendy first created her account in August 2019. She later accepted your invitation to join the family tree on May 2021. When she accepted your invite, it merged her original account with the profile in your tree. We see she last logged into her account a few days ago. If you look at Wendy's revisions tab, you can see that she was able to update her name.
Note there are several visual cues for you to see that her account is claimed. For one, if you view her profile page, you can see the date that she joined Geni. Or if you view her node in the tree, you can see that there is a blue border around the profile image silhouette. This blue border indicates a claimed profile. You can also see in your request history that Wendy accepted your invitation to join the tree.
