I uploaded a Gedcom in 2021 that was quite incomplete. So i uploaded a new version in 2022. But Geni is not updating my tree with the new version. Only the old one takes precedent. I am trying to delete the old one but Geni is not letting me do so. So, how can overwrite the old version? Thanks
Hi Bertrand, the GEDCOM importer is intended to be used to import profiles that don't yet exist on Geni. It's not meant to override the existing tree. If you would like to remove your old import, you can go to your GEDCOM dashboard and undo each branch that was imported. Any imported profiles that were subsequently merged will be un-merged before being deleted.
Note: do not delete the old GEDCOM file until you have undone the imports on all the branches. Deleting the GEDCOM file from Geni does not delete the imported profiles.
