Since getting married i see merges for profiles for my wifes family, neither profile is one i am in control of. My "vote" of sameness is irrelevant towards effecting the merge.
I have 56 such merge requests alone, making it very difficult for me to participate in improving my own family tree.
I should only be able to consider merges between profiles that I can actually merge.
Worse, now my sisters husband, who is even further unrelated to my distant in-laws has the same issue.
Hi Ryan. In your example, the reason you are unable to complete the merge is because Nathan has claimed his account (the profile on the left). So although you approved the merge on your end, he will need to login to his account in order to complete the merge.
You misunderstand my bug report.
The bug is there is exactly no reason why this merge should be presented to me.
These people are distant in-laws. I have no special abilities to opine on this part of the world tree.
It is not a bug. You have permission to approve one side of it, but you can't complete it because it needs to be approved by the other person.
