I uploaded my GEDCOM file 2 days ago and my wife's line has still not uploaded. It just says "A GEDCOM import is in progress for this profile. You should not add onto this profile until the import is finished"
How can I remedy this?

This is a warning for other users not to add to that branch because adding would probably result in duplicates (because the import for that branch is still running and will import additional profiles)
When Geni finds a possible duplicate for a branch the import of that branch will pause so you can take action (if that branch is already on Geni you could stop the import if it would not add new information to Geni)You should check the GEDCOM page (https://www.geni.com/gedcom) to see if you need to take action.
The import for such a paused branch will continue when the duplicate profiles are merged.
If the profiles are not a match someone will also have to tell Geni they are different before the import will continue for that branch.
As you are not a Pro user is will be difficult to find the profile Geni sees as a possible duplicate, you will probably have to depend on other Geni users to make merges and reject false duplicates.
Depending on the size of a GEDCOM an import can take days to years to complete. You should probably also look at https://www.geni.com/projects/Connecting-to-the-Big-Tree/17983 and https://www.geni.com/projects/What-to-do-after-you-have-uploaded-a-GEDCOM/53094
