What is the use of Geni site if I cannot make a proper research due to being persistently stopped by the Geni Pro publicity "Upgrade to Geni Pro"?
Anything I do (logged in or not) after getting one name tracked, I get the publicity, not the research.
There is a limit to any publicity, especially this aggressive way of making people pay for these services. Or is this a bug? If it is, it hasn't been fixed since the last complaint.

There is the answer on both questions.
And it is not a bug, but a feature. You pay for the search engine (the use of the software).
So yes the use of the search engine is not part of the free basic subscription.
The access to geni profiles it free.

I believe that my sister was not able to access our family tree because she was listed by her birth name and not by her married name.
