I am in the process of importing my large family tree from Ancestry to Geni using GED COM. The process stops when I am required to "resolve tree matches". It is absolutely unclear to me how to resolve the tree matches so my tree can be completely imported. I have a subscription to geni Pro, which may be required to resolve this. What can I do?

You can start reading the help information, like
If you see a number on a blue background that number is number of possible matches. so Click on it to see the profiles next to each other so you can judge if it really is a match. Geni currently mostly will trigger a possible match if at least one of the given names and the last name is the same and the periods of living overlap (an estimated data will have a range of -5 +5 years). It does not seem to take any relations into account, so there are very many alerts for profiles that are not the same. PLEASE CHECK before approving a merge. You can also check a descendants and/or ancestors report to make sure.
When it is a real duplicate please check and solve data conflicts after merging (please be sure to add name and spelling variations in given names and / or last name to the AKA field)
Also please remember Geni is a shared tree, so do NOT remove information or profiles without first getting consent from the other managers. If you have to correct errors please try to add sources for those corrections
